평생교육 교수요목에 기반한 평생교육개론 내용 분석

Content Analysis of Introductory Books of Lifelong Education Based on the Pedagogical Syllabus for Lifelong Education

개론서는 학문에 대한 전반적인 개념, 지식 및 최근 동향을 다루기 때문에 학문 후속 세대 양성에 중요한 역할을 담당한다. 본 연구는 평생교육학 개론서 내용을 비교·분석하여 평생교육 개론서들이 평생교육에 관한 전반적인 지식을 포괄적으로 다루고 있는지 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 평생교육학 개론서 15권을 선정하고 평생교육사 양성 교육과정 교수요목 기준에 따라 분석하였다. 분석결과, 첫째 연구대상인 평생교육학 개론서들은 입문서로서의 요건을 충실히 담고 있는 것으로 판단된다. 둘째, 저자의 관심과 성향에 따라 강조점을 두고 있는 내용이 약간씩 달랐다. 셋째, 연구대상인 평생교육학 개론서들은 평생교육자의 직업윤리에 관한 내용을 다루고 있지 않았다. 넷째, 평생교육 제도와 정책의 경계가 명확하지 않고 모호하여, 개론서마다 평생교육 제도 및 정책 내용이 혼합되어 있었다. 다섯째, 연구대상인 평생교육학 개론서들을 출판 연도별로 비교했을 때 개론서 내용에 차이는 없었다. 끝으로 본 연구에서 도출된 결과를 바탕으로 향후 평생교육학 개론서 개편 방향에 대한 제언을 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the content of introductory books of lifelong education in Korea. A total of 15 introductory books were chosen for the purpose of analysis. Results from the introductory books are indicated as follows: a) the introductory books contain comprehensive information about the lifelong education; b) there are differences in contents based on the author’s major interests and viewpoints; c) the professional ethics of lifelong educator is not included in the introductory books of lifelong education; d) the boundary between education system and policy is ambiguous; e) no content difference on introductory books by years were found. The implications of the research were also discussed.
