코로나 팬데믹 시대를 살아내며 소수자들의 해방을 위한 성령(기氣/바람風)

Holy Spirit (Chi/Wind) For Sustainable Life in the Corona Pandemic Era and For Making Minorities Free: Theoretical Approach Based on Feminist Theology

작금의 코로나 팬데믹 상황은 우리가 지금까지 지녀왔던 일상, 가치, 사상, 패러다임 등 모두를 바꾸어 놓아 어려움과 혼란을 초래하고 있다. 이런 위기를 자초하고 사회적 약자를 차별하며 소외시켜온 주체는 대다수 우리 탐욕스러운 인간들이다. 미지의 바이러스와의 동거 시대는 과거와는 다른 새로운 패러다임의 뉴 노멀(New Normal)이 요구되며, 특별히 교회는 새롭고 유연한 기독교 본연의 전통적 영성 회복을 모색하여 비전과 대안을 제시해야 한다. 본 논문은 코로나 팬데믹의 어려운 시기에 우리 인간의 지속 가능한 삶의 가능성과 소수자들의 삶의 회복과 해방을 위해 “성령”의 개념을 동양인의 눈으로 이 어려운 시기에 알맞은 의미를 이끌어내려 한다. 전통적 “성령”의 의미를 “기(바람)”로 풀이하여 “기(바람) 성령”이 현재 이곳에 정의와 평화를 가져오며, 소수자들의 차별과 소외로부터의 회복을 원하는 정의의 하나님임을 분명하게 이해하려 한다. 기(바람) 가 지닌 음양의 감응과 합일을 통해 조화를 이루어 내려는 그 역동적인 에너지, 즉 천·지·인 상호 간 감응의 힘을 “기(바람)”의 역동적인 변혁의 힘으로 제시한다. 이 힘은 현재 여기 이곳 세계에 만연한 불평등과 소외, 차별에 저항하고 회복하려는 강한 현장성의 힘, “지금 여기”(Here and Now)에서의 성육신 됨을 표현해낸다. 성령을 “기(바람)”으로 재해석하는 시도는 “지금 여기”(Here and Now)의 어려운 삶의 현장에서 인간의 조화로운 삶의 지속성과 소수자들이 차별받는 이 아픈 상황에 가장 적절한 상황 신학적 해석이 될 것이다.

The current Corona pandemic situation has changed everyone’s daily lives, values, ideas, and paradigms, and is causing difficulties and chaos. It is most of us, greedy humans, who have caused this crisis of viral pandemic and have discriminated and alienated the socially weak such as women and the natural environment. The era of cohabitation with this unknown virus requires a new normal with a new paradigm that is different from the past. In particular, the church is required to present a vision and alternatives by seeking a new and flexible way for restoring proper the spirituality of Christianity. This paper endeavors to draw a proper meaning of the traditional “Holy Spirit” for the quest of sustainability for human beings and for the restoration and liberation of the lives of minorities who are going through hardships from the perspective of Asians. By reinterpreting the meaning of “Spirit” as Chi (wind), I want to clearly understand that God is the God of justice, who wants to restore the discriminated minorities to their original form and that eventually it is God, who wants to bring justice and peace in the world. The dynamic energy that seeks to achieve harmony through unity within the yin and yang response of Chi, that is, the power of mutual responsiveness of heaven, and earth is presented as the power of the dynamic transformation of “Chi (wind)”. This power expresses the incarnation in “Here and Now”, a strong forcefield that tries to resist and recover the inequality, alienation, and discrimination that is prevalent in this world here and now. The reinterpretation of “Chi (wind)” into the Holy Spirit would be the most appropriate theological work for the sustainability of human life in the present difficult and painful scene, especially where minorities and the socially weak are going through hardships.
