This research aims to study the effectiveness of the flipped classroom strategy in developing the Arabic language skills of Korean students at the intermediate level. The term flipped classroom refers to overturning the traditional form of class, it means that before students come to class, they watch the lecture video provided by the teacher in advance and study, and during the actual class time, they discuss or do group activites with the teacher and colleagues, so that it enables more interesting and effective teaching and learning. In this research, to ensure the effectiveness of this strategy, it was applied to Korean students studying in the department of Arabic language in the third and fourth year, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, during the winter vacation of 2021. Thus, this study has shed light on the effectiveness of the flipped classroom strategy and its impact on the development of Arabic language skills for Korean students at the intermediate level, as well as the extent to which students respond and interact with the strategy, in addition to the accuracy of the students’ use of linguistic structures and vocabulary contained in the textbook, and the extent their ability to take responsibility for self-learning before class, and finally the effectiveness of the strategy in taking into account individual differences between learners, through the application of the strategy, and then analyzing the results of the pre- and post-test averages, as well as analyzing the results of the questionnaire to survey the learners’ opinions about this training course.
