The purpose of this study is to measure the economic ripple effect of the cruise industry in Busan using a regional industry-related model. To this end, we first estimated the expenditure by dividing the cruise tourists and shipping companies. Next, the multiplier(production, income, added value, employment) was derived by dividing the home port and the port of call based on the regional industry linkage table, and the total economic ripple effect of the Busan area was calculated by applying the multiplier to the expenditures of cruise tourists and shipping companies. Tourists spent 176.4 billion won when they visited Busan as a port of call, while they spent a total of 182 billion won in Busan as a cruise homeport. On the other hand, it was found that the total expenditure of cruise lines reached 255.1 billion won. As a result of the economic ripple effect analysis, the production/income/value-added ripples according to the total expenditures of tourists (176.4 billion won) and cruise lines (255.1 billion won) as a cruise port of call were about 1.11 trillion won, and the number of employment was analyzed to be 9,356. On the other hand, the production/income/value-added ripples according to the total expenditures of tourists (182 billion won) and cruise lines (255.1 billion won) as the cruise home port were about 1.19 trillion won, and the number of employment ripples was analyzed to be 11,250.
