P-TECH과정 성과분석 및 효율적 운영 방안 연구

Analytical Reseach of P-TECH Outcomes and Effective Course Working Plan(Case-Oriented of Korea Polytechnic College)

The industry-academic- integrated apprenticeship school project, which is a high school-level work based learning, was expanded to 198 schools in 2017, and the number of trained graduates was expected to increase rapidly to 2,500 peoples in 60 schools in 2018 and 7,000 peoples in 200 schools after 2019. Therefore, College-level work based learning was demanded after High school-level work based learning. The government has developed working model of The Pathways in Technical Education Convergent High-Technology(P-TECH) which apprentices participate in training program for up to two years by going back and forth between training center in college that was recommended by a company and theirs company after graduated apprenticeship school in high school. In 2017, The P-TECH course was firstly piloted in 6 campuses and 8 departments of Korea Polytechnic College. Through the government’s continuous policy to expand the P-TECH course, Korea Polytechnics are running currently 20 campuses and 28 departments in 2021. In particular, the employment rate of graduates shows an average of 88.9%, which is higher than general degree course.
