교회학교 장애인부 교사의 장애학생 교육에 대한 경험

The Experiences of Teachers in the Department of People with Disabilities of Church Schools on the Education for Students with Disabilities

본 연구는 교회학교 장애인부 교사를 대상으로 장애학생 교육에 대한 경험을 살펴보고자 하였다. 본 연구는 교회학교 장애인부 교사가 장애학생 교육 시 어떠한 역할을 하고 있으며, 장애학생 교육 시 경험하는 어려운 점은 무엇인지를 연구 질문으로 구성하였다. 본 연구는 6개의 교회에서 장애인부 교사로 역할을 하고 있는 6명을 연구 참여자로 선정하였으며, 면담을 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 연구 결과, 장애인부 교사는 장애인부가 장애학생과 부모 모두에게 필요한 것으로 인식하고 있었다. 그리고 장애인부 교사는 교회에서 장애학생에게 일상생활기술을 지도하고, 학습의 기회를 제공하고, 장애학생의 가족과 협력하는 역할을 하고 있었다. 하지만, 장애인부 교사들은 교회에서 장애학생에 대한 교육이 체계적으로 이루어지지 못하고, 장애인부 교사를 위한 교사 교육이 제대로 이루어지지 않고 있으며, 장애인부에 대해 장애학생 부모들이 잘못된 인식을 가지고 있고, 장애인부 교사를 확보하는데 어려움이 있다고 하였다.

The purpose of this study was to find out the perception of teachers in the department of people with disabilities on educating students with disabilities, the role as teachers in the department of people with disabilities and the difficulties in their role performances. In order to carry this research, 6 teachers in the department of people with disabilities of 6 church schools were selected and interviewed. As a result, teachers thought that the department of people with disabilities was necessary for parents and students with disabilities. They taught daily living skills such as behavior modifications, social skills and communication skills to the students with disabilities not only faith education. Furthermore, they cooperated with the families of children with disabilities via delivering notices and parent counseling. However, at present, there are not adequate education plans, evaluations, curriculum, teacher training and others in church schools. And the right understanding about the department of people with disabilities of parents of students with disabilities was needed. Moreover, more human resources such as teachers, volunteers are needed.
