사설 치료실 인지학습치료사와의 부모상담에 대한 장애아동 어머니의 경험과 인식

Experiences and Perception of Mothers of Children with Developmental Disabilities on Parent Consultation with Cognitive and Learning Therapists in a Private Therapy Center

본 연구는 사설 치료실을 이용하는 장애아동의 어머니들을 대상으로 인지학습치료 후 이루어지는 부모상담이 어떤 내용으로 이루어지고 있으며, 부모상담이 어머니들에게 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 대한 경험과 인식을 살펴보고자 하였다. 본 연구는 장애아동의 어머니 9명을 대상으로 인지학습치료사와 이루어지는 부모상담에 대하여 어머니와의 면담을 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 사설 치료실에서 인지학습치료사와의 부모상담에 대한 어머니들의 경험과 인식에 관한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 인지학습치료 후 이루어지는 부모상담에서 인지학습치료사는 어머니에게 아동의 학습 진행과정, 수업내용, 학습 내용에 대한 아동의 반응, 아동의 학습활동 중 오류패턴, 그리고 앞으로 진행될 학습내용에 대해 설명하였다. 둘째, 인지학습치료 후 이루어지는 치료사와의 상담은 장애아동의 어머니가 자녀에 대한 정보를 얻을 수 있는 시간이면서, 어머니의 양육태도, 감정조절, 잘못된 학습 지도 방법을 수정하여 자녀와 좀 더 원활한 소통이 이루어지게 하는데 도움이 되었다. 셋째, 장애아동의 어머니들은 인지학습치료 후 이루어지는 기본적인 상담 이외에도 추가적인 상담이 이루어진다면, 장애자녀는 물론 부모 자신에게도 도움이 될 것이라고 하였다.

The study sought to find out what parent consultation was about and how parent con-sultation was being done after therapy to mothers using private therapy centers and how it affected their mothers. This study collected data from interviews with mothers of nine children using private therapy centers on post-therapy parent consultation. Results of mothers perception of parent consultation with cognitive and learning therapists in pri-vate therapy centers were as follows. First, in parent consultation, which is actually done after therapy, the therapist explained the overall treatment activity to the mothers by explaining the progress of the children s learning, explaining the children s responses to learning, explaining the error pattern during the children s learning activities, and ex-plaining the future course of learning. Second, while consultation with a therapist after therapy is a time to get information about a child, such parent consultation can change the mother s attitude of care, help her control her feelings, and correct the mother s wrong teaching methods to better communicate with her child. Third, mothers who par-ticipated in the study said that if additional consultation is carried out in addition to basic consultation conducted after therapy, it would help not only children with dis-abilities but also their parents themselves.
