陽村 權近의 문학과 『詩經』

본고는 陽村 權近(1352~1409)의 『시경』이해 및 詩와 『시경』의 관련 양상을 다루었다. 「詩淺見錄」이 이미 연구된 상황에서 『시경』관은 주로 기타 詩文에서 살펴보았다. 「시천견록」은 『시경』을 修己治人을 비롯하여 性情之正, 感發善心의 시로 인식하였다면, 기타 詩文에서는 특히 『시경』의 비흥예술에 주목하였다. 이 점 辭章學에 관심을 가졌던 양촌의 문학관과 맥이 통한다. 양촌의 시는 『시경』의 성리학적 내용에 주목하여 『시경』의 詩旨나 詩語를 원용 내지 변용함으로써, 詩의 함축성 내지 언어의 세련미에 대한 추구를 나타냈다. 양촌이 『시경』에 관심을 가진 데는 정치적으로는 麗末鮮初의 혼란한 時局 및 그에 따른 윤리적인 타락을 치유하고, 문학적으로는 시문의 載道적 역할을 전제로 아울러 그것을 효과적으로 표현하기 위해 중시된 辭章學 등에 기인한 것으로 보인다.

This paper deals with Yangchon Kwonkun(1352~1409)’s understanding of <the book of odes> and relevant aspects between his poetry and <the book of odes>. Under the circumstance of that <Sicheongyeonnok(詩淺見錄)> has been studied, the view of the book of odes has been researched from other poetry. <Sicheongyennok> has regarded <the book of odes> as the poetry of positive temperament(性情之正) and sense of kindness(感發善心), as well as cultivating oneself and governing the men(修己治人). While in other poetry he was specially concerned about the skill of comparision(比) and affective image(興) from <the book of odes>. It has something in common with Yangchon’s literary view which he has a lot interests in art of writing(辭章之學). To pursue implications of poetry and chic of language, Yangchon’s poetry has accepted or transformed <the book of odes>’s poetic theme(詩旨), and poetic diction(詩語) with paying attention to Neo-Confucian contents of <the book of odes>. It can be considered that the reason of Yangchon’s concern to <the book of odes> may results from two aspects. One is from the chaotic state of affairs during the end of Koryo dynasty and early Chosun dynasty, as well as his wish for curing the resulting ethical corruption in politically way. And the other is from his serious consideration on the art of writing(辭章之學) which is on the assumption of poetry’s Tao-carrying(載道) role in Literary way.
