본고는 이유원의 문집 중 하나인 『가오고략』에 실려 있는 작품인 「주사」와 「화사」를 살펴본 것이다. 『가오고략』에는 매우 다양한 종류의 시가 많이 보인다. 「주사」와 「화사」 또한 이유원이 원굉도의 작품을 보고 이유원이 ‘차기’의 형식을 사용해 지은 시이다. 곧 이 작품이 다른 시보다 주목을 요하는 이유는 『가오고략』 가운데 ‘차기’의 방식을 사용하는 작품은 이 작품이 유일하기 때문이다. 「주사」와 「화사」는 원굉도의 「상정」과 「병사」를 보고 ‘연작시’ 형식으로 이유원이 재구성한 것이다. 비록 원굉도의 작품과 소재와 내용 면에서는 유사하지만, 이유원은 그 작품과는 형식을 달리하면서 자신만의 글쓰기 방식을 통해 재구성하고 있다. 이는 다르게 말하면 문학 작품의 ‘移植’이라고 할 수 있다. 이유원은 이러한 ‘이식’을 통해 동일한 문화적 공유 속에서 상대의 생각과 작품을 자신의 생각과 작품으로 인식하면서 자신만의 독특한 개성을 살려 다른 작품으로 형상화시킨 것이라 할 수 있다. 결국 이유원이 사용한 ‘차기’는 베끼기나 표절이 아닌, 하나의 대상을 참고하여 이를 다시 자신의 형식과 내용으로 발전시켜 자기 문학 세계를 구축하는 독특한 방법론인 동시에, 기존에 있던 타인의 것을 기초로 자신의 것을 발전시키려는 일종의 사고와 의식의 흐름이라고도 할 수 있을 것이다.
This is an abstract of ‘Ju-sa’(酒史) and ‘Hwa-sa’(花史) in Gaogoryak. There are various kinds of poems in Gaogoryak. ‘Ju-sa’(酒史) and ‘Hwa-sa’ (花史) are also Lee You Won’s poems which recreated Won Goeing Do’s art, Lee You won used a form named ‘Cha-gi’(箚記) when he wrote the poems. The reason the poem is special is this is the only poem that used form ‘Cha-gi’(箚記). ‘Ju-sa’(酒史) and ‘Hwa-sa’(花史) were recreated by Lee You Won after reading Won Goeing Do’s poem named ‘Sang-jeong’(觴政) and ‘Byung-sa’(甁史). Although ‘Ju-sa’(酒史) and ‘Hwa-sa’(花史) are similar to Won Goeing Do’s art in material and story, Lee You Won differentiated the poem through his own writing style, and recreated the poem. This can be explained as literary ‘Ea-sik’(移植). Lee You Won created a special literary work with his distinctive style while sharing Won Goeing Do’s idea and the work in contemporary culture. Eventually, Form ‘Cha-gi’(箚記), which Lee You Won used, is not a copy and not a plagiarism. It is a unique method building his field in literature by referring to a object and developing his own style and story. Also, it is a stream of consciousness and thinking trying to develop his own style based on other’s work.
