As nowadays the concern about Intellectual Property Right and Protection of Copyright increases gradually under our social conditions, I have thought that it is necessary to inspect the current ways to mark the source of data cited in the middle-school Hanmun textbook and find the ways to standardize them. So, I designed to put it on this study. On studying, I found it lacking to indicate the source of pictures, reference books, reference materials, and articles from newspapers or broadcasting in the appendix and supplement of the textbook, even though the origin of the text excerpted partly from the original text is marked in the 13 kinds of middle-school Hanmun textbooks fairly. Thus, through this study, I suggested the following ways as each alternative to complement this lacking; first, in the case of marking the source of the text, to show the title of the work cited in the body of the textbook, the origin, and the location, next, about the rest except from the body, to indicate the four different markings of the sources according to the types of quoted materials, and for the appendix and supplement, to specify the origin text, reference materials, and pictures. Although any ways is arranged, however, if the author makes the marking of the origin simple as well as short, the more specified mark for the source couldn t be expected. Therefore, I suggest it be conducted to offer the concrete guide related to the use of writings in the textbooks by encouraging the author of textbook to notice this situation.
