This paper researched doctorate thesis , research essay and book related with 漢語文字學(hanŏmunjahak) released in Korea. Those theses have been released by people engaged in various majors such as department of Korean language and literature, Chinese language and literature, department of Philosophy, department of Chinese character, etc. After research I found that there are few reports on 漢字學(hanjahak), 音韻學(eumunhak), 訓詁學(hungohak) released by practitioners working in the department of Chinese education or department of Chinese character. In other hands, reports on Chinese education have been mainly released by practitioners whose major are department of Chinese education or department of Chinese character. Using those studies I have arranged trends and issues in study of Chinese character. First, basic studies in hanŏmunjahak(hanjahak, unmunhak, hungohak, etc.) have barely established. Second, because of few studies on hanŏmunjahak fields, achievements in education of Chinese character are inefficient and it was neglectful of creating new methods in Chinese education. Third, studies on hanŏmunjahak in Chinese fields do not deal with traditional hanŏmunja and there is a bit gap in latest study trends of China. Fourth, By raising awareness of hanŏmunjahak fields, records found in excavation objects in the period of the Three States (金石文(keumsŏkmun), 簡牘文(Gandokmun))have to be included to the new study fields of academic circles of Chinese character.
