This study identified how Ki Jeong-Jin realized logic for friendship focusing on poetry he gave his students. It was discovered that the number of his students appearing in his poetry totalled 32 based on 『Saanginmunrok』. This study limited the focus on poetry to his students because it realized the idea of ‘Leemunhoiwoo’, the true friendship of Confucian scholars. Ki Jeong-Jin was a strict academic teacher, but he was humanistic in expressing justice through poetry. This was shown in Chaunsi, Jeungsi and Mansi. As a result, Ki Jeong-Jin dealt with his students as a man and achieved the large academic school of Nosahakpa. Ki Jeong-Jin wrote poetry on the political situation of the time for his student named Lee Choi-Sun, emphasizing that poetry should deal with real problems. In 1866 when Byonginyangyo occurred, Lee Choi-Sun practiced justice and Ki Jeong-Jin advocated him actively and delivered what he thought through poetry. In addition, his active participation in real problems was derived from the academic characteristics of Ki Jeong-Jin who considered Lee(reason) important. Ki Jeong-Jin encouraged his students to be engaged in studying and presented how to study. He gave poetry to Jo Seung-Ga to teach how to prevent becoming lopsided and instructed him to be elaborate in interpreting the Chinese classics and find methods in books. This study considered that this is the true practice of ‘Leemunhoiwoo’ through poetry. Then, based on the results above, this study suggested that all the people appearing in poetry by Ki Jeong-Jin should be analysed to create a human network.
