The true friendship represented in the poems concerning Chinese idiom Guan Po Ji Gyo

Until now, I’ve looked through how the true friendship represented in the poems concerning Chinese idiom, a Guan zhong and Po Suk friendship(Guan Po Ji Gyo). To reveal the true friendship, idioms were frequently used in the poems. Nowadays, most of the people use the concepts between a true friendship and a true friend, confusingly; however, in the ancient poems, every meaning of the idioms is different each, and its usages vary also. I’ve examined the meanings of the idioms via a Guan zhong and Po Suk friendship. The story of Guan zhong and Po Suk is based on actually historical truth and its meaning is obvious, but sometimes it differs a lot depending on different writers and different situation. First, people used this story to refute true friendship. What I mean by refuting is that people deployed this poignant story to show that there are no true relationships like this these days. Through this rhetoric technic, some writers pointed out hard-hearted human relationships, which shed little light on friendships. Second, this story also was used as one way to express the friendship between writers and his or her friends. Authors insisted that their friendships and the Guan zhong and Po Suk friendship are the same, but, most of the time, it is hard to recognize the similarities. Even so, we can not deny that they wanted to belie their friendships just as faithful as Guan zhong and Po Suk’s. The third usage, which is the most frequent usage of all, is that to emphasize the close relationship, the story was used abstractly and ideologically. In this case, it is not entirely possible to prove whether the authors’ friendship had kept continuously or not.
