Mokeun-Leesack is the representative scholar and literary man. When he became a chief of Sungkyunkwan(成均館), he made a new regulation for Sungkyunkwan. He was absorbed in his studies, and contributed garetly to the development of Sung-confucianism. He took charge of supervisor of the civil service examination five times. He had many disciples and performed a important master of the age. He gained a great reputation of the master writings. Many critics as Choirib(崔립) and Kimchanghyub(金昌協) said that he had been the greatest writer of his times. Seogeojung(徐居正) criticised that Mokeun s poetry had many dignities-Poeun(圃隱) s Woonghon(雄渾), Doeun(陶隱) Gankyul(簡潔), Sambong(三峰) , Homae(豪邁), Yangchon(陽村), Jeona(典雅). In this manuscript, I investigated the representative dignity of Mokeun s poetry-Woonghon(雄渾), Jeona(典雅), Gongchi(工緻). Woonghon is the first of the 『Esipsasipum(二十四詩品)』, and taken for the greatest dignity. It has been said that Woonghon could be seen in the writings of Janja(莊子), Samachon(司馬遷), Leeback(李白), Doobo(杜甫). Woonghon is the dignity that can be finded in the writings of the poet pursuing knowledge and Hoyeonjigi(浩然之氣). Jeona is affiliated with eight dignities in Youhyop s 『Munsimjoryong』. Youhyop desided that Jeona was the dignity of Confucianism. Gongchi is the dignity of poetry which the use of words is skillfull, complicated and trained in. This manuscript is written as one of the writings considering the dignity of poetry in the end of Koryo. The comparison of the dignity of Mokeun s poetry with other poets poetryin the same age is leaved as a problem to be solved after this.
