The appreciation attitude on a Gasan[假山] subject matter work of Joseon literary men

This thesis aims at consideration the appreciation attitude on a Gasan[假山] subject matter work of Joseon literary men. As a result, I deduce some conclusions. In an appreciation which standing on the basis of the moral value, Gasan[假山] was recognized as a medium of self-culture. Joseon literary men appreciation attitude were not stopped in an external description. They master of Gasan s various attribute and wish to reach on a holy mans state. But Gasan s reality which was faced by Joseon literary men is not made with natural but it was an artificially created mountain. They anguish the true and the false. So, some insist that the distinction of the true and the false, another insist the paradoxic of the true and the false, and the other insist self-culture and the original nature s recovery irrespective of the true and the false. Some literary men show an aesthetic appreciation attitude which focused on the Gasan s own beauty. They recognized Gasan as a aesthetic appreciation item which made of nature or human skill. So, they accept Gasan as a their own aestheticism, sightseeing gusto s promote, and an appetite for writing s irritant.
