Study about Gi by Ga-jeong Lee Gok

Ga-jeong Lee Gok was a son of a government employee. He studied very hard since he learned how to read. He passed the state examination when he was 20 years old. After that, he also passed the Won state examination. Because of that, he could make his family in a good position. There is a special feature in Ga-jeong zip written by Ga-jeong when you see the contents of the book. Unlike the other books, we can find proses first. Usually in the books, poetry goes first. Moreover, Ju-ui ryu ,which usually goes first in prose section, is in the end part of the book. This shows that the writer regarded prose as an important piece of art. In this study, I m going to research his proses focus on this formation. Before we start to look at his 150 proses, I want to start with Ga-jeong s Gi . Since Gi is printed right after Jab-jeo so as a singular form, you can find it first in Ga-jeong zip and in his prose, Gi takes 30 chapter of the book which means it takes one third. Ga-jeong used the form of Gi by using interesting stories and applying the style of Bi-gi-moon into Gi . He pursued the beauty of implication and brevity by using Ho-moon bub and choosing a theme. He was also trying to correct customs by moral training and show a consciousness about Sin heung sa dae bu by writing about people s difficulties. Because of this Ga-geong s writing, there was a comment saying Both Ga-jeong s father and son passed the China examination, and their works rule the world. . According this comments, we can see how much Ga-jeong was an important writer.
