Lee Gyu-bo as the famous literary man in KORYO-Dynasty experienced life s vicissitudes, which he expressed as literary works. His disease was one of those. He had an eye disease, a stroke of paralysis and a hand disease. But, he took his alcoholic and poetry disease more serious than others. The literature creation weighed heavily upon his mind because he succeeded in a literature and a large part of his job follewed up on literature. He suffered from an eye disease, but came near loss of eyesight because of it. He couldn t walk because of stroke of paralysis and a hand disease. He who worried about loss of eyesight and was disabled by a stroke of paralysis did not undergo medical treatment properly, and took counterfeited medicine. In addition, His illness went downhill because he had a drink during his illness. But, he was willing to treat his illness by studying a medical book. Lee Gyu-bo laid in a bed of sickness for long times speculated about things not treated usually. He speculated about the origin of a disease, the cure, philosophy that the existence of Man is naught, the positive ability of a disease, the valueable life, the responsibility as a bureaucrat. He was the same from beginning to end with a determined attitude not only in a bed of sickness but in the near his death. He didn t rule out the deep attachment of his life completely, which was not the imperfection of his senses but the express of his sincere feeling.
