使行詩의 특징과 전개 양상

The Characteristics and Development Patterns of Envoy Poetry

이 논문은 우리나라 사행시의 역사적 전개 양상에 대하여 사행시의 특징적인 내용, 그리고 사행시의 전개양상으로 나누어 살펴보았다. 사행시의 특징적 내용은 사행이라는 외국 여행을 하며 느낀 점은 매우 많겠지만 이국 문물에 대한 표현, 유적지에서의 회고, 중국문인과의 교유를 그 특징으로 잡아 살펴보았다. 사행시의 전개 양상은 여말 이전에는 문집 속에 산견되는 형태로 존재하다가 조선 전기에 이르러서야 사행시집으로 엮어지며, 조선후기에 들면 청으로의 사행이 빈번해지며 많은 종류의 연행록이 양산됨을 살펴보았다. 사행시에 대한 연구는 이미 많은 성과를 거두었다. 이제는 이러한 연구를 바탕으로 같은 사행이 참여한 인물들의 작품을 모아 한자리에서 논의하여 해당 사행을 집중적으로 조명하는 작업을 해야 할 것이며, 다른 한편으론 사행에서 만난 유적지에 대한 각 시대 각 인물들의 회고를 통시적으로 연구하여 시대별로 의식의 흐름을 추적할 필요가 있다.

This study examined the historical development patterns of envoy poetry in Korea and the characteristic contents of envoy poetry. With regard to the characteristic contents of envoy poetry, there might be many feelings arising from the travel of foreign countries, but this study focused on the expressions of foreign culture, recollections at historic sites, and association with Chinese literati. With regard to the development pattern of envoy poetry, envoy poems were included sporadically in anthologies until the late Koryo Dynasty, but from the early Chosun Dynasty collections of envoy poems began to appear and in the late Chosun Dynasty when envoys were dispatched frequently to the Qing, many different collections of poetry on travel to Yenching were published. Many studies have already been made on envoy poetry. Based on the previous research, now we need to gather literary works written by people who participated in the same envoy group and to examine their travel closely. On the other hand, it is necessary to trace the flow of consciousness by age through diachronic study of individual envoys’ recollections at historic sites that they stopped at on their way.
