壺谷 南龍翼의 仕宦期 初期 詩 一考

A study on poems written by Hogok(壺谷) Nam yong-ik (南龍翼) in the early days of entering the government post : Focusing on the aesthetics of bureaucratic poems

본고는 壺谷 南龍翼(1628~1692)의 仕宦期 初期 詩에 관한 글이다. 壺谷集 소재 시는 次韻詩, 別詩, 挽詩, 祭文 등 ‘교유 관련 내용’이 다수지만, 그간 통신사 관련 詩文 및 특정 詩體에 주목하는 방향으로 연구가 진행됐다. 이러한 정황은 ‘교유 관련 내용’의 시가 대개의 관료 문인이 남긴 시와 변별점이 없다는 인식 때문일 것이다. 그러나 남용익의 사환기 초기 시는 富麗, 溫潤한 관각시 특유의 미감으로 설명될 수 있다. 그가 시에서 취한 입장, 감정, 분위기, 소재 등에는 일정한 방향성이 있다. 處가 아닌 出의, 뿌듯함과 자긍심, 밝고 여유 있으며 활기찬 분위기, 궁, 군주, 봄, 관료를 묘사하는 용어의 사용 등이 바로 그것이다. 관각문학의 본질은 왕조 찬양에 있지만 그 표현 방법은 閣臣 간 수창에 활용되어 조정에 갓 진출한 젊은 관료의 자부심을 고취시켰다. 또한 근무를 함께 하는 이들과의 동류의식을 담는 역할을 했다. 창작 주체 및 사용된 문체의 측면에서 남용익의 사환기 초기 시는 조선 전기 官閣詩의 미적 특질을 계승한다고 볼 수 있다. 남용익은 당상관에 오른 사환기 중기부터는 이러한 시를 짓지 않았다. 요컨대 관각시의 미감을 지닌 시는 그의 사환기 초기 작품에 한정된 것이다. 이러한 논의는 남용익이라는 작가의 시기별 작품 경향을 규명하는 데 있어서도 유의미 할 것이다.

This manuscript is about poem written by Hogok(壺谷) Nam yong-ik (南龍翼, 1628~1692) in the early days of entering the government post. Hogok-JIP(壺谷集) has a large number of socializing related contents such as Cha-Woon Poetry(次韻詩), Byeol Poetry(別詩), Man Poetry(挽詩) and Jae-Moon(祭文) but until now, research has been conducted in the direction of paying attention to Tong-Sin-Sa(通信使)related poems and poems related to a specific genre. This situation may be due to the fact that poems in “relationship-related content” have no distinction from poems left by most bureaucratic writers. Poems written by Hogok(壺谷) Nam yong-ik(南龍翼, 1628~1692) in the early days of entering the government post is related socializing poem. These poem have character of Gwan-Gak Poetry(館閣詩) which include Boo-Ryeo(富麗) and On-Yoon(溫潤). This is distinctly different from his poems written at different times. There is a certain direction in the position, emotion, atmosphere, and material taken by the artist. These include a position to enter government posts, feelings of pride and lively atmosphere. As for the material, many terms were used to describe palaces, monarchs, spring, and bureaucrats. The essence of Gwan-Gak Literature(館閣文學) lies in the praise of the dynasty, but the method of describe was also used to exchange poems between servants.
