The article is devoted to the conceptual domain of the inner world of a person in the Russian world picture. It presents the classification of phraseological units and other lexical means with a somatic semantic component to objectivize inner self-concepts. And the lexeme ‘ГЛАЗ’ in the Russian world picture is analyzed to determine the inner world of a person by verbal expression. In this regard, the issues under discussion are as follows: main communicative functions and meanings of the lexeme ‘ГЛАЗ’ in representing the inner world of a person in the linguistic consciousness, the attributes in their connection with the lexeme ‘ГЛАЗ’ and the role of the lexeme ‘ГЛАЗ’ in the representation of the inner world of a person.
