Study of the features of working with text and Reading in the classes on Russian as a foreign language

Reading texts is a source of knowledge about the country of the language being studied and a means of teaching this language. Reading is one of the four types of speech activity required when learning a foreign language. Reading is a receptive form of speech activity aimed at the perception and understanding of the written text. Currently, teaching a foreign language, including Russian, is based on the text. The text is an important and compulsory unit of teaching a foreign language, being the main component of the structure of Russian language textbooks. Through the text, a comprehensive implementation of various learning objectives (communicative, educational, developmental and educational) is carried out. Working with text in a lesson on Russian as a foreign language and teaching reading as a form of speech activity are some of the main problems in the methodology of teaching Russian as a foreign language. This article is devoted to the study of the problem of teaching reading and working with text in the lesson on Russian as a foreign language. Despite the large amount of research done in this direction, this topic is relevant to this day. In the article, the author poses the following tasks: to determine the concept of the text and indicate its features, to consider the didactic potential of the text, to consider the features of working with the text in the process of learning to read in Russian lessons.
