The purpose of this paper is to research the Translation Methods and Skills of Korean proverbs and sayings in the journal-publicistic style texts The tasks to achieve it are as follows: 1) Examine semantic and pragmatic potential of Korean proverbs and sayings in the journalpublicistic style texts 2) Rtsearch role and functions Study of Korean proverbs and sayings in the journal-publicistic style texts 3) Analyze the difficulties which happen with translation of Korean proverbs and sayings in the journal-publicistic style texts and suggest how to overcome them. 4) Study Russian translation methods and skills of Korean proverbs and sayings in the journalpublicistic style texts, taking into account the main characteristices of journal-publicistic style
