The article discusses contemporary changes in the group of nouns described as pluralia tantum. The author comments the results of the research on the category of grammatical number and evaluates lexicographic entries referring to this category that are being analyzed in the article. These are the new pluralia tantum used in academic (university) didactic discourse. The ambiguity that appears in their description in different dictionaries results in uncertainty about the correct form of their grammatical number.
