A study on the Method to develop a creative thinking through Russian idiom: based on methodology of TRIZ

The purpose of this study is to inquire the technique of creative problem solving through the Russian idioms based on TRIZ (Theory of Inventive Problem Solving). This is necessary to construct and design the contents that can improve the creative thinking skill for students. Every country has its own linguistic expressions which are very much involved with folk customs, practices and lifestyles. For a long time these naturally dissolved into ethnic languages. In no time the idioms, proverbs, maxims and expressions remain multi-word stark testaments to the nation s racial emotion. As well known, Russian is very rich in idiomatic expressions. From the view of idioms, this study is valuable in linguistics as well as non-linguistics. Also these idioms clearly explain the structure of the semantic domain related to its topic and form a distinct aesthetic structure of tolerance. So the study contents of this paper are as follows: First, it is to understand the concepts of creativity and creative problem solving. Second, it is to examine the theoretical background of TRIZ. Third, it is to examine the theoretical background of method idioms. Particularly, it is to analysis the educational cases of Russian idioms based on TRIZ. Method idioms is problem solving tool that TRIZ had to be transformed into the ‘General Theory of Strong Thinking’. At present, this tool is applied on the educational program for thinking creatively at kindergarten, elementary school, middle, high school and university. And TRIZ is the thinking technique of creative problem solving that can be the tool of inventory solutions by finding and get over the key of contradiction that is necessary to obtain ideal final results of suggested problems. When learning a foreign language, theses idioms, proverbs, and maxims, etc. do not directly convey their meaning, so it is not easy to understand the idiom’s intention. In this sense, this research through the nonlinguistic resources in terms of linguistic research methods, and folklore studies, could be useful in terms of Russian education. This data shows how.
