The paper is dealing with the language structure of Vuk Popović s letters, with the relation of his language and the Serbian standard language, as well as the relation of V. Popović s language with the contemporary dialects of Boka Kotorska (Bocca di Cattaro). The particular attention is given to the lexical alayers, to the role and importance of V. Popović s language in the stabilization of Vuk s model of literary language.
