This study attempted to provide basic data on human resources management in the cosmetology industry by investigating the structural relationships between cosmetologists’ metacognition, job crafting, and job performance, ultimately suggesting a cosmetology industry growth strategy development method through the acquisition and management of human resources. The results of the research found the following: First, metacognition affected job performance with a partial statistical significance. Specifically, as ‘plan’, ‘adjustment’, ‘assessment’, and ‘monitoring’ increased, ‘customer performances’ improved, showing an explanatory power. Second, in terms of the influence of job crafting on job performance, statistically significant results were observed. In particular, as ‘cognitive’, ‘relational’, and ‘job-related factors increased, ‘customer performances’ improved, revealing the highest explanatory power. The above results confirm that salon owners need to make continued efforts to enhance their employees’ organizational commitment by providing environments in which they act autonomously, keep thinking of such acts, and develop a management strategy system that is aware of the importance of human resources.
