Language·Sense·Affect of Post-human Subject: Itoh Project, Genocidal Organ

본고는 이토 게이카쿠의 ｢학살기관｣을 중심으로 주체 정립의 과정과 그 사이에 작동하는 다양한 요소들을 살펴보았다. 주인공 셰퍼드가 선택과 책임을 회피하는 비주체에서 스스로 선택하고 책임을 지는 주체로 나아가는 과정에는 ‘아버지의 부재’와 ‘어머니의 살해’라는 구조적 특징이 보이는데, 이는 기존의 방식과는 정반대의 특징이다. 이런 구조적 특징 속에서 주인공 셰퍼드는 오이디푸스적 주체와 아브젝시옹으로서의 주체 사이에 자신의 주체를 정립시키고 있는 듯 보인다. 더불이 이 과정에서 감각과 정동은 기존에는 배제되었던 것들을 인식하며 기존의 주체, 기존의 체계를 해체하며 새로운 주체의 가능성, 아브젝시옹 주체의 가능성을 연다. 그 가능성을 여는 것은 타자를 포함한 ‘불쾌한 것과의 마주함’, 그리고 새로운 서사-신화를 구축하는 ‘픽션의 가능성’이다. 하지만 동시에 기존 주체와 체계 및 경계선의 해체라는 포스트휴먼적 주체는 그 기준점의 상실로 인해 다시 기존의 체계를 유지하고 강화하는 방향으로 나아갈 위험성도 존재한다. 제로년대의 주체들은 이 지점에서 새로운 주체의 가능성과 시체로서의 수동성 사이에 놓여 있다고 할 수 있다. 때문에 텍스트를 통해 제로년대의 주체의 이중성을 면밀히 살펴볼 필요가 있다.

This paper examines the process of establishing a dramatic subject and the various elements that operate in intermediate spaces in the ｢Institution of a Massacre｣ of Itoh Keikaku (Project Itoh). The structural features of the ‘father’s absence’ and the ‘mother’s murder’ are seen in the process of the protagonist Shepard evolving from being a non-subject who avoids choices and responsibilities to being a subject who does make choices and takes responsibility for himself, which is the opposite of the existing method. Through this narrative structure, the main character Shepard seems to adopt a subject position between the Oedipal subject and the abject subject. In addition, in this process, the senses recognize the things that were previously excluded, deconstruct the existing subject and system, and open up the possibility of a new, abject subject. However, at the same time, there is a risk that the existing subject, the post-human subject of the deconstruction of the system and the boundary line, will move in the direction of maintaining and strengthening the existing system due to the loss of a human reference point. This possibility resonates today, because at this point the subjects of the 2000s can be said to be positioned between the possibility of becoming new subjects and the passivity of the corpse.
