국제 영화제를 활용한 남북 예술인 교류 및 관광 촉진 방안 고찰

A Study on the Promotion of North and South Korean Artist Exchange and Tourism Using International Film Festivals: Focusing on the North Korean Film <My House Story>

목적: 본 연구의 목적은 북한 영화 <우리집 이야기>와 같은 북한 영화가 부천 국제 영화제에서 상영을 계기로 북한의 생활상 파악을 통해서 북한과 지속적 교류에 대한 토대를 마련할 수 있는 다양한 방안의 모색이다. 방법: 본 연구는 영화를 매개로 남북한 교류확대를 통한 북한 관광지 개발 목적을 수행하기 위해서 1차적으로 선행연구와 문헌고찰을 활용하였다. 그리고 본 연구는 2차적으로 논의의 신뢰성을 확보하기 위한 방안으로서 북한학 관련 교수 2명, 관광학 관련 교수 2명, 그리고 강화도 및 김포 지역에서 활동하는 문화관광 가이드 3명을 확보하여 3회에 걸친 온라인 회의를 진행하였다. 결과: 국제영화제를 매개로 한 남북한 예술 문화 교류는 상호 협력의 기회를 촉진할 수 있는 수단이 될 수 있다. 결론: 이념을 초월한 남북한 영화 예술인들의 적극적인 상호교류를 이루기 위해서는 남북한 공동의 국제 영화제, 남북 화합의 상징인 ‘아리랑’을 주제로 한 테마파크 복합문화공간과 컨벤션센터의 조성이 요구된다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to find various ways to lay the foundation for continuous exchange with North Korea by understanding the daily life of North Korea with North Korean films such as <My House Story> being screened at the Bucheon International Film Festival. Methods: This study primarily utilizes prior research and literature review in order to achieve the purpose of developing tourist destinations in North Korea through the expansion of North and South Korean exchanges through films. And as a second way to secure the credibility of the discussion, this study secured 2 professors related to North Korean studies, 2 professors related to tourism, and 3 cultural tourism guides active in Ganghwa Island and Gimpo city and held three online meetings. Results: Inter-Korean art and culture exchanges through international film festivals can be a means of facilitating opportunities for mutual cooperation. Conclusion: In order to achieve active mutual exchange between North and South Korean film artists that transcend ideology, it is necessary to create a theme park complex cultural space and convention center with the theme of ‘Arirang,’ a symbol of inter-Korean harmony, and a joint international film festival between South and North Korea.
