The Deterioration of the Wooden Bench and Playing Fixtures of Children`s Park

This study was carried out to investigate the deterioration behavior of the wooden benches and playing fixtures of 46 children’s parks of Cheongju, Korea. The deterioration state of the wooden bench and complex fixture, mainly, was examined. As a result, the deterioration behavior of the wooden bench and complex fixture was clearly known as follows. Firstly, the paint film was weared off. The surface checks, end checks, and splits were appeard. Subsequently, the paint film peeled off, and the checks became worse. Lastly, wood was decayed and broken.
