파티클의 붕산처리가 파티클보드의 접착력 향상에 미치는 효과

The biological resistance and fire retardation are important properties for the manufacture of special particle board. Boron-containing compounds have been known as a wood preservatives, fire retardants and insecticides. This study was carried out to examine the effect of boric acid on development of physical and mechanical properties as well as enhanced-adhesion of particle board which was manufactured with boric acid treated particles. The results are as follows: 1. The boric acid treatment(Impregnation threshold amounts reported in literature: 0.05%, 0.1% and 0.3% by oven dried weight of particle) incresed bending and internal bonding strength and did not show the statistical significance among them. When boric acid of 0.05% was treated to the particle, bending and internal bonding strength incresed by 35% and 39%, respectively, compared to the untreated. 2. The treatment of boron compound gave no effect on dimensional stability of particle board.
