Glued-up Furniture Design using the Database of Korea Domestic Lumber Characteristics

This project was carried out to enhance the utilization of Korean domestic timbers which have inherent weak-points as materials of wood processing industries. The database of 43 Korean lumbers which contain various material characteristics was adopted to design the glued-up furniture. All the furniture(furniture parts) would be divided into three groups Group I(frame member), Group II(cabinet work) and Group III(outdoor furniture) - according to the physical and mechanical properties. A dressing table (Group II) could be imaged by the computer aided designing tools, such as CAD, PhotoShop and 3-D Studio Max.
