A Study on Designing Changeable Table and Spacing

The important changes of information and technic-oriented society are requiring new media for task and new concept of working environment. The alternative offices are needed as effective working place by using computer system mainly. Small space as apartment, officetel, mobile office, room in a house can be more effective when the furniture and facilities are designed functionally and arranged purposively. In this research the characteristics of SOHO which is close future coming office environment are surveyed and the concept of furniture design is derived from the characteristics for effectiveness and appropriateness. Which ideas are designed to make a small space functionally expansive. By nesting and expanding changeable and movable table is designed for small alternative office environment, which is intended in order that space can be used differently as to the way of expanding 1, 2, 3. and the basic concept is simple, compact and space-saving, so the meaning of half-Ia moitie is chosen as a motive for this design.
