A Study on the Furniture Modeling

Furniture design requires the stages of elaborate plan, sketch drawing, and modeling, which are called design process . It is the stage before production including making the prototype (hard model) that a designer should participate in. Especially, in manufacturing a prototype, a full scale model, the head of a firm feel the burden for the production cost and a designer is afraid that a worker cannot share designer feeling about the prototype. From the point of view in college design education, making the prototype, which is the result of a assignment during a term, is the waste of time and the economic burden to each student. Therefore, making soft model as a solution of those problems help each student have various experiences, make a ideal design, and form a plan for future design.
