This research is conducted to develop kiln-drying schedules for 27 ㎜ thick boards of Idesia polycaropa Max. and Neolitsea ariculata Koidz. which grow in the southern regions of Korean Peninsula. These two species are lesser-known to wood industries in this country. Quick Oven-drying Method was used for schedule development. The newly developed schedules for Idesia polycaropa Max. and Neolitsea ariculata Koidz. are T8-E5(modified) and T5-C4 in USDA codes, respectively. These new schedules were proven to minimize drying degradation of the two species.
