학교 경제교육 담당 교사들의 경제수업 관련 어려움 분석

Analysis of Difficulties Experienced by School Teachers in Economic Education

본 연구에서는 학교 경제교육에서 교사가 겪는 어려움에 초점을 두었다. 한국개발연구원(KDI)에서 실시한 2020 경제교육 실태 조사 자료를 바탕으로 분석을 실시하였으며, 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학교 경제교육을 담당하는 교사의 80% 이상이 경제수업에서 어느 정도 이상의 어려움을 겪는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 교사가 겪는 어려움의 주요 원인은 주로 경제교육 교수 방법이나 내용 이해와 관련된 것으로 나타났으며, 교사의 배경 특성에 따라 차이가 있었다. 셋째, 학교 경제교육에서 교사가 겪는 어려움은 학생의 경제학습 성취에 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 학교 경제교육의 개선을 위한 시사점을 교사 측면에서 논의하였다.

This study focused on the difficulties experienced by teachers in economic education. The analysis was performed using the 2020 Economic Education Survey conducted by the Korea Development Institute (KDI). The results are as follows. First, it was found that more than 80% of teachers in charge of economic education had some difficulties in economic classes. Second, the main cause of difficulties experienced by teachers in economic education was mainly related to the teaching method or content understanding of economic education, and there were some differences depending on the background characteristics of teachers. Third, it was found that the difficulties experienced by teachers in economic education had a negative effect on students economic learning achievement. Based on these results, implications for improving the school economic education were discussed.
