An Analysis Study on the Color Coordination in Italian Children Furniture Shops: Focused on the Color Harmony Theory of Wilhelm Ostwald and Faber Birren

The purpose of this study is to analyze the color coordination in shops selling Italian furniture for children and to understand the spatial coordination of the places by theoretically analyzing the concept and roles of furniture and the coordination in the space and examining their components. In addition, in this study we established a scientific and systematic criterion framework for coloring furniture based on the characteristics of Natural Color System (NSC) and the Color Harmony Theory formulated by Wilhelm Ostwald and Faber Birren. During the process of researching the spatial coordination color, a comparative analysis on Italian children furniture shops was carried out in order to identify the overseas coordination trend of furniture for children.
