융복합 교양교과목 개발 연구

A study on the development of convergence liberal arts subjects: Focusing on <Future Environment and Risky Society>

본 논문은 동국대학교의 융복합 교양교육 공통 교과목인, <미래환경과 위험사회> 의 교육 설계 과정 및 내용을 연구하여 그 특성과 의미를 밝힌 것이다. 나아가 융복합교과목 개발에 대한 방향성에 대해 제언한 것이다. 융복합 교과목 개발 시, 교수자의 역할을 어떻게 설정할 것인가의 문제가 우선적으로 선행되어야 한다. 또한 융복합 교과목을 운영할 수 있는 외부적인 제반 시설과 교육행정 여건이 갖춰져야 한다. 무엇보다 융복합 교과목 개발에 있어 중요한 것은 융복합 교과목 특성이 드러나야 한다. 학습자들이 융복합 교과목이라는 인식을 갖고, 다방면으로 생각하고 학문적 지식을 융합하는데 도움이 되도록 설계해야 한다. 그러기 위해서는 학문 영역과 학습자료의 다양성, 새로운 교수학습법의 융합적인 적용 방법과 내용을 교육과정에 담아야 한다. 본 교과목은 PBL 수업과 절대평가를 적용하였고, 정해진 교재가 특별히 없지만 다양한 학문 영역의 학습자료를 제공하였다. 따라서 융복합적으로 문제를 제기하고 과제를 해결할 수 있도록 교육과정을 설계하였다. 이러한 점을 최대한 고려하여 <미래환경과 위험사회> 교과목을 개발하였다. 한편 주차별 교과내용 구성에 있어서도 교수자에 따라 수업의 내용을 변경하거나 수정할 수있도록 유연하게 설계하였다. 앞으로 융복합 교육은 교수자나 교과목 개발자의 순수한 역량에만 기대하기는 분명한 한계가 있다. 이를 뒷받침 해줄 수 있는 실질적인 국가적 교육적인 정책이 필요하다. 본 논문은 융복합 교과목 개발의 실체를 통해, 새로운 융복합 교과목 개발에 대한하나의 모형을 제시하여, 융복합 교과목의 개설을 확산하는 데 도움이 될 수 있다는점에 의미가 있다.

This paper examines the educational design process and contents of <Future Environment and Risky Society>, a common subject of convergence liberal arts education at Dongguk University, and reveals its characteristics and meaning. Furthermore, it the direction for the development of convergence subjects. When developing convergence education subjects, the problem of how to explain the role of instructors should precede. In addition, external facilities and educational administration conditions must be equipped to operate convergence education subjects. Above all, it is important when developing convergence courses to reveal the characteristics of convergence education subjects. It should be designed so that learners can have the perception that it is a convergence education subject, think in various ways, and help converge academic knowledge. To do this, it is necessary to include the diversity of academic fields and learning materials and the convergent application methods and contents of new teaching and learning methods in the curriculum. PBL (Project Based Learning) classes and absolute evaluation, and although there is no specific textbook, it provided learning materials in various academic fields. Therefore, the curriculum was designed to raise problems and solve tasks in a convergent manner. Taking these points into account as much as possible, the <Future Environment and Risk Society> course was developed. On the other hand, in the composition of the content for each week, it was designed flexibly so that the content of the class could be changed or modified according to the instructor. In the future, convergence education has a clear limit to relying only on the pure competency of instructors or subject developers. A practical national educational policy that can support this is necessary. This paper is meaningful as it can help spread the opening of convergence education subjects by presenting a model for new convergence education subjects through the substance of convergence subject development.
