Digital Environment & Study of Non-face-to-face Writing Teaching Methods

본 연구는 2021년 11월 17일부터 23일까지 학습자 124명이 참여한 가운데 실시된 ‘비대면 글쓰기 교수법 관련 설문 조사’ 결과를 토대로, 수도권에 위치한 한 대학의2021년 2학기 글쓰기 교육에서 진행된 ‘비대면 글쓰기 교수법’의 특징에 대해 고찰했다. 수도권에 위치한 한 대학의 2021년 2학기 글쓰기 교육에서 진행된 ‘비대면 글쓰기 교수법’은 구체적으로 ‘온라인 교육 플랫폼(LMS)을 활용한 동영상(녹화) 강의’, ‘줌zoom을 활용한 실시간 강의’, ‘채팅앱(카카오톡)을 활용한 토의토론’, ‘유튜브 동영상을 활용한 개인 글쓰기 피드백’으로 진행되었다. 이들 교수법은 코로나19 시기에 임시적으로 활용된 교수법이 아니라 앞으로 디지털 환경에서 더욱 활성화될 교수법이다. 왜냐하면 코로나19 이후에도 학습자들은 비대면 글쓰기 교수법이 여전히 필요하다고 답변했기 때문이다. 특히, 동영상 수업과 개인 피드백 동영상 수업은 대면 수업의 부족한 부분을 보완할 수 있는 효과적인 교수법이 될 것으로 예상된다. 이상의 연구는 현재 실시되고 있는 ‘비대면 글쓰기 교수법’의 특징을 고찰했다는의의와 더불어 코로나19 이후, 비대면 글쓰기 교수법의 가능성에 대해 전망하는 계기를 제공했다는 의의를 지닌다.

This study was conducted based on the results of the “non-face-to-face writing teaching method-related survey” conducted from November 17 to 23, 2021. A total of 124 learners participated in this survey. Furthermore, this study considered the characteristics of the “non-face-to-face writing teaching method” conducted in the second semester of 2021 writing education. Based on this, it predicted a sustainable non-face-to-face writing pedagogy post-COVID-19. The “non-face-to-face writing teaching method” conducted in the second semester of 2021 writing education specifically falls under the categories of “video (recorded) lecture using an online education platform (LMS),” “real-time lecture using zoom,” “chat app (KakaoTalk),” and “personal writing feedback using YouTube videos.” These teaching methods are not used temporarily during the COVID-19 period. Rather, they will be more active in the digital environment in the future. This is because, even after COVID-19, learners answered that non-face-to-face writing teaching methods were still needed. Specifically, it is expected that video classes and individual feedback video classes can compensate for the lack of face-to-face classes. The above study has the significance of considering the characteristics of the “non-face-to-face writing teaching method” that is currently being conducted, as well as providing an opportunity to predict the possibility of the non-face-to-face writing teaching method after COVID-19.
