학문 목적 한국어 학습자의 미디어 리터러시 함양을 위한 수업 모형 개발 연구

A Study on the Development of an Education Model for Media Literacy among Korean Learners for Academic Purposes

이 연구는 학문 목적 한국어 학습자를 대상으로 미디어 리터러시 능력을 함양하기위한 수업 모형을 제안하는데 목적이 있다. 현대 사회에서 미디어의 역할은 점점 더커지고 있다. 한국어교육 내에서도 다양한 학습자들로 확대되면 미디어 리터러시의교육에 대한 중요성이 더욱 커지고 있다. 학문 목적 한국어 학습자들은 한국 사회에서 미디어를 통해 한국 사회를 접하고, 한국 문화, 한국어 등을 습득하고 있기 때문이다. 또한 성인으로서 가장 중요한 시기에 한국 사회에서 유학생활을 하고 학문을 쌓고 있기 때문에 더욱이 미디어 리터러시교육에서 배제될 수 없다. 이에 학문 목적 한국어 학습자를 대상으로 5단계 수업 모형을 적용하여 미디어 리터러시 교과목을 제안하고 15주차의 학습 내용을 제안하였다. 이를 통해 그동안 한국어교육에서 언어 교육을 위한 목적으로 미디어를 활용해 오던 교육적 한계에서 벗어나, 학습자의 학문적 수행 능력을 고려하여 미디어 텍스트에초점을 두고 미디어 리터러시 능력을 함양할 수 있는 구체적인 교육내용과 방법을 마련했다는 데 의의가 있다.

The purpose of this study is to propose a teaching model to foster media literacy skills among Korean learners for academic purposes. The role of media in modern society is growing. As it expands to various learners within Korean language education, the importance of media literacy education is increasing. This is because Korean language learners encounter Korean society through media and thereby acquire knowledge about Korean culture and language. Moreover, media literacy education cannot be ignored because Korean language learners are adults from overseas, learning to live in a Korean society, of which media is an important part. Accordingly, a five-step class model was applied to Korean language learners to propose media literacy subjects and suggest the learning curriculum for week 15. Appropriate educational content and methods were formulated to develop media literacy skills in learners, breaking away from the limitations of Korean language education.
