트랜스미디어 스토리텔링으로 본 한국춤 콘텐츠 모듈의 교육적 활용 방안

Measures for the Educational Use of a Korean Dance Content Module from a Transmedia Storytelling Perspective

본고는 기존의 트랜스미디어 스토리텔링의 이해를 확장하여 한국춤에의 적용 가능성을 타진하고자 그 가능성을 교육 현장에서 실험을 통해 확인하였으며, 주요 결과를아래와 같이 이끌어냈다. 첫째, 트랜스미디어 스토리텔링에 관하여, 디지털 융합 시대에 연결이 가능한 미디어 플랫폼을 통해 창작자와 향유자(소비자)가 주제를 공유하고 지속적인 참여와 협력적인 변화 이야기까지 아울러 이르는 말로 개념화했다. 이 개념에서 핵심어는 ‘융합’ 이며, 구조·방식·구성 등에서 사용되는 각종 미디어들은 모듈형으로 ‘따로 또 같이’ 작동될 수 있는 매체이고, 논리적·표층적·서사적·심층적인 구조로 확장하여 한국춤콘텐츠 모듈(TCK)의 교육적 활용 프레임을 설계했다. 둘째, 살풀이춤 TCK와 승무 TCK의 교육 실험 결과, 두 춤 모두, 지식, 가치, 경험, 미래에 대한 이해와 생각에서 큰 변화를 보였다. 먼저 살풀이춤 TCK 교육 실험 전에는 살풀이춤에 관한 지식이 있다는 응답이 27%였으나, 실시 후 85%로 크게 상승했으며, 미래에도 필요하다는 인식의 변화 또한 80%에서 88%로 상승했다. 승무의 경우도 TCK 교육 실험 전에는 지식이 있다는 응답비율이 3.8% 정도였지만, TCK 실시 후96%까지 올라갔고, 미래에도 필요하다는 인식의 변화 또한 61.5%에서 88%로 제고됨으로써 살풀이춤보다 높은 수치 변화를 보여주었다. 셋째, TCK는 한국춤을 정확하게 인지할 수 있고, 깊이 있는 미적 경험을 가능하게 하며, 다양하게 발전시킬 수 있는 새로운 교육 대상이자, 교구가 될 수 있음을 확인했다. 트랜스미디어 스토리텔링을 통해 창작자와 향유자가 서로 능동적으로 참여하고 함께 행동함으로써 한국춤의 더 큰 세계가 구현되는 문화적 변화가 일어나는 데 기여하기를 기대한다.

This study expands the current understanding of transmedia storytelling, explores its applicability to Korean dance, and applies it in the educational scene. The key results are as follows. First, transmedia storytelling is conceptualized as a term encompassing the sharing of subjects, continued participation, and the story of cooperative change through a media platform that is capable of connecting with the digital era. Its key framework is “convergence,” and the various types of media used in the structure, method, composition, and others, are those that have been modularized and thus are capable of “independent yet cooperative” operation. The groundwork for the educational use of the Korean Dance Content Module (otherwise known as Trance media Storytelling Korean dance Contact Module, or TKC) is designed by expanding it to a logical, superficial, descriptive, and profound structure. Second, the results of the Salpuri TCK and Seungmu TCK educational tests both show large changes in knowledge, value, experience, and the understanding and thoughts about the future. Knowledge regarding Salpuri rose from 27% to 85% following the Salpuri TCK education test, while the awareness of its future need also rose from 80% to 88%. Results regarding Seungmu show even greater changes than Salpuri, with knowledge rising from just 3.8% to 96% after conducting the TCK, while the awareness of its future need rose from 61.5% to 88%. Third, TCK can accurately perceive Korean dance, enabling a deep, aesthetic experience, and is a new educational subject that, at the same time, can be an educational tool for a multifaceted development. Through this study, it is hoped that a small yet significant contribution can be made to the establishment and realization of a new paradigm of Korean dance.
