중도 뇌성마비 초등학생 아버지의 양육 경험

The Rearing Experiences of Fathers of Elementary School Students with Severe Cerebral Palsy

연구목적: 본 연구는 중도(severe)의 뇌성마비 장애자녀를 양육하는 아버지와의 질적 면담을 통해 중도 뇌성마비 아동 아버지의 양육 경험과 장애에 대한 인식, 지원요구를 살펴보는데 목적이 있다. 연구방법: 본 연구는 중도 뇌성마비 아동을 양육하는 4명의 아버지가 참여하였다. 연구 참여에 대한 동의를 얻은 후, 참여자가 원하는 시간과 장소에서 면담이 이루어졌다. 면담자료에 대한 전사 이후, 질적 분석 방법에 따라 분석하였다. 연구결과: 첫째, 중도 뇌성마비 아동의 아버지는 자녀의 장애를 발견하고 부정하고 싶은 현실 속에서 갈등하지만, 결국 자녀의 장애를 있는 그대로 받아들이는 모습을 보여주었다. 둘째, 아버지들은 자녀의 장애로 인해 일상생활에서 많은 변화를 겪고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 중도 뇌성마비 아동의 아버지들은 경제적 부담, 신체적 부담, 심리적 부담, 그리고 미래에 대한 불안을 느끼는 것으로 나타났으며, 가장 큰 부담은 경제적 부담으로 나타났다. 마지막으로, 중도 뇌성마비 아동을 양육하는 아버지를 위한 지원에서 아버지들은 장애자녀를 양육하는 부모의 휴식이 가장 중요함을 강조하였다. 결론: 중도 뇌성마비 자녀를 양육하는 아버지를 위한 지원이 다양하고 폭넓게 이루어질 필요가 있다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the rearing experience, perception of disability, and demand for support of fathers with severe cerebral palsy through qualitative interviews with fathers raising children with cerebral palsy. Method: This study involved four fathers raising children with severe cerebral palsy. After obtaining consent to participate in the study, the interview was conducted at the time and place desired by the participants. After transcription of the interview data, it was analyzed according to the qualitative analysis methods. Results: First, the fathers of severe cerebral palsy children conflicted in the reality that they wanted to find and deny their children s disability, but eventually showed that they accepted the children s disability as it is. Second, it was found that fathers were undergoing many changes in their daily lives due to their children s disabilities. Third, the fathers of severe cerebral palsy children were found to feel economic burden, physical burden, psychological burden, and anxiety about the future, and the biggest burden was economic burden. Finally, in support for fathers raising children with severe cerebral palsy, the fathers emphasized that the most important thing was resting parents raising children with disabilities. Conclusion: Supports for fathers raising children with severe cerebral palsy are needed to be provided in a variety of ways.
