그림책을 활용한 장애이해교육이 일반유아의 장애 인식에 미치는 영향

The Effect of Disability Understanding Education Using Picture Books on Disability Awareness of Typically Developing Children

연구목적: 이 연구의 목적은 그림책을 활용한 장애이해교육이 일반유아의 장애 인식에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위한 것이었다. 연구방법: 이를 위해 만 3세 2학급의 유아 28명을 연구 참여자로 선정하였다. 1개 학급은 실험집단으로 구성하여 장애이해교육을 실시하였고, 나머지 1개 학급은 통제집단으로 구성하여 장애이해교육을 실시하지 않았다. 장애이해교육은 5주간 주 2회 약 50분씩 실시되었다. 자료 분석은 IBM SPSS Statistics 28.0 프로그램을 이용하였고, 그림책을 활용한 장애이해교육이 일반유아의 장애에 관한 인식 및 장애유아와의 상호작용에 대한 인식에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 독립표본 t-검증을 실시하여 실험집단과 통제집단 간의 사후검사 결과의 평균 차이가 통계적으로 유의미한지 살펴보았다. 연구결과: 연구의 결과는 다음과 같았다. 첫째, 그림책을 활용한 장애이해교육이 일반유아의 장애에 관한 인식에 긍정적인 영향을 주었다. 둘째, 그림책을 활용한 장애이해교육이 일반유아의 장애유아와의 상호작용에 대한 인식에 긍정적인 영향을 주었다. 결론: 이 연구는 일반유아가 장애에 대해 긍정적으로 인식하고 나와 다른 사람을 존중하고 배려하며 더불어 살아갈 수 있는 능력과 태도를 함양할 수 있도록 하였다는 데 의의가 있다. 마지막으로 연구 결과를 바탕으로 한 논의점과 향후 연구 방향성을 제안하였다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate how disability understanding education using picture books can affect the disability awareness of typically developing children. Method: For this purpose, 28 children aged 3 years old in two classes who are attending A kindergarten in S city as research participants were selected. One class that conducted disability understanding education using picture books was formed as an experimental group, and the other class that did not conduct disability understanding education was formed as a control group. The study conducted an disability understanding education using picture books for the experimental group for approximately 50 minutes twice a week during 5 weeks. Data analysis was performed using IBM SPSS Statistics 28.0 program. To investigate the effect of disability understanding education using picture books on disability awareness of typically developing children, an independent sample t - test was conducted to examine whether the mean difference between the experimental group and the control group was statistically significant. Results: The results of this study are as follows. First, disability understanding education using picture books had a positive impact on the disability awareness of typically developing children. Second, the disability understanding education using picture books had a positive impact on the awareness of children s interactions with children with disabilities. Conclusion: This study is meaningful in that it was an effort to develop the ability and attitude to positively recognize disability and to respect and consider myself and others and to live together. Finally, discussion points and future research directions were suggested based on the research results.
