인공지능 시대, 마을공동체의 의의와 실천

The Significance and Practice of the Village Community in the age of Artificial Intelligence: Focusing on the case of Seopmari in Geumcheon, Cheongdo-gun

본 연구는 인공지능 시대전개에 따른 초연결성과 초개인성이 일방적으로 부각됨에 주목하였고, 그 대안적 가능성을 마을단위 연대공동체성 구축에서 찾는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 이 연구는 레비나스가 주창한 연대공동체와 책임윤리의 입장에서 인공지능 시대에 적합한 마을단위 공동체성을 타진하고 자 하였다. 연대공동체성의 구체적 사례는 경북 청도 섶마리 마을을 통해 살 폈으며, 그 구체적 내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 이 마을의 공동체성은 선암서원 의 교육에 대한 실천적 관심에서 비롯되었고, 특히 “계” 기금을 통한 근대학교 설립에서 그 토대를 마련할 수 있었다. 둘째, 마을지도층(선암서원)의 마을주 민을 위한 애민정신의 실천에 마을주민이 동참하면서 연대공동체성을 구축할 수 있었다. 이념차원이 아닌 행동차원에서 보여준 마을지도층의 애민정신은 마을주민을 위한 책임윤리의 실천으로 볼 수 있었다. 마지막으로, 이 마을의 연대공동체성은 현재진행형의 모습을 보였다. 생태공원화사업과 체험형관광 프로그램 등을 통해 마을단위 사업이 계속되고 있었다. 요컨대, 개체화가 한층 가속화될 AI시대 여건에서 마을단위 연대공동체성은 현안의 시대적 과제 로서 그 의미를 새롭게 해석･적용할 필요가 있었다.

The purpose of this study was to pay attention to the unilateral rise of hyper-connectivity and super-individuality according to the development of the AI era, and to find alternative possibilities in building solidarity community at the village level. For this purpose, this study tried to examine the village-level community that can be suitable for the age of artificial intelligence in terms of solidarity community and responsibility ethics advocated by Levinas. A specific case of solidarity community was investigated through the village of Seopmari(섶마리) in Cheongdo, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and the specific contents are as follows. First, the community of this village originated from the practical interest in the education of the Seonam Seowon(선암서원) members, and in particular, the establishment of a modern school(elementary school) through the “Gye” fund was able to lay the foundation for the village community. Second, the village leadership(Seonam Seowon) practiced the spirit of compassion for the village, and subsequently, the villagers were able to build a solidarity community at the village level. The spirit of compassion of the village leaders, which was shown not in the ideological dimension but in the behavioral dimension, led to the practice of responsible ethics for the villagers. Finally, the solidarity community of this village continued in the present progressive form. Village-level projects continued through eco-parking projects and experience tourism programs. In short, in the conditions of the AI era where individualization will be further accelerated, the formation of a village-level solidarity community will need to be interpreted and applied anew as a current task.
