Entering the 21st century, a new art genre was born through the convergence of digital technologies due to the development of science and technology. Fractals formed by the spontaneous combination of nature, art, and mathematics reveal a possibility of creativity in design by creating a new formative world featuring repetitive natural patterns and self-similarity. Therefore, this study attempted to model actual patterns through the graphic design of fractals with computers and show their expressive possibility. For this, a fractal, which can be a source for ideation, was applied to an easily accessible acrylic pouring technique, expanding art makeup expression domains and suggesting new abstract expressions. In terms of the study method, acrylic pouring, which has recently been in the spotlight in the fine arts world, was adopted and expressed in art masks. The study results found that the new acrylic pouring technique has easy access and can express abstract images with random effects for art makeup. In addition, its different and unique patterns have shown a possibility of new design. Considering such uniqueness, it is anticipated that fractals and acrylic pouring will be highly useful in art makeup design.
