Effects of Video Self-Modeling Intervention on Class Participation Activities among Children with Mental Retardation

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of the video self-modeling on class participation activities. The participants of this study were children with mental retardation in elementary school. We analyzed whether the video self-modeling intervention increased on class participation activities and achieved successful in- tegration or not. For the purpose of this study, we used a checklist and video self-modeling tapes and so on. The results of the study were as follows: First, the video self-modeling intervention improved on class par- ticipation activities. Second, the improvement on class participation activities applied the inclusive environments. Finally, the video self-modeling intervention improved on self-eficacy and self-esteem, and had an effect on maintenance and generalization of the class participation activities.
