일제강점기 정치·경제·사회·문화 분야 연구성과와 과제

Japanese colonial era Research achievements in the fields of politics, economy, society, and culture

본고에서는 일제강점기 식민지 조선 안에서 이루어진 여러 활동에 관해 ≪한국근현대사연구≫ 1~ 98호에 수록된 연구성과물을 검토하였다. 1994년부터2022년까지의 약 30년 동안의 기간이 이에 해당한다. 기존의 일반적인 정치·경제·사회·문화 네 영역의 대분류를 토대로, 실제 수행되고, 게재된 연구논문의주제를 중심으로 새롭게 분야를 재편해서 서술하였다. 일제와 조선총독부의 권력과 정치와 관련해서, 이들이 식민지 조선 안에서채택했던 ‘정책’을 하나의 주제로 설정할 수 있다. 이를 정책의 입안과정과 식민지 조선인을 대상으로 한 시행과정을 나누어 검토하였다. 경제의 경우 시대별맥락 속에서 조선총독부의 정책에 대응한 경제 관련 연구주제와 그것이 지닌역사적 의미를 어떻게 구성했는지를 살펴보았다. 경제의 영역에서 군대와 군사시설에 관련된 글도 함께 언급하였다. 왜냐하면 근대적 성격을 지닌 ‘총력전’은 경제적 맥락 속에서 이해되어야 한다는 점 때문이다. 사회의 경우 다양한 연구주제가 포함될 수 있다. 기본적으로 이에 분류되는주제는 在日/在朝 일본인과 식민지 조선인 사이에서 발생하는 다양한 관계망에관한 내용을 다루고 있다. 해당 주제는 제국(인)과 식민지(인)의 타협, 충돌, 갈등 등을 다루는 영역이 된다. 문화의 경우 게재된 논문 주제를 중심으로 사상, 종교, 사학사 영역으로 구분하였다. 사상은 인간의 집단 행위에 영향을 미친이념과 사고라고 전제하면, 여러 담론과 논쟁, 주의 그리고 사상가 등이 이에해당한다. 본고에서는 ≪한국근현대사연구≫ 수록 논문을 우선 시간적으로 일제강점기에, 공간적으로 식민지 조선 안에서 이루어진 네 영역 관련 논문을 주제별·시기별로 다루었다. 연구가 이루어진 시대적 맥락에서 각 논문이 가진 장점과 특징을 중심으로 살펴보았다. 또한 각 영역에 해당하는 연구주제의 문제의식 속에서향후의 과제를 제시했다.

In this paper, I would like to review the research achievements contained in Journal of Korean Modern and Contemporary History Nos. 1 to 98 on various activities conducted in colonial Choson. This corresponds to the period of about 30 years from 1994 to 2022. Based on the general classification of the four areas of politics, economy, society, and culture, I would like to reorganize and describe the field centering on the subject of the research paper actually conducted and published. Regarding the power and politics of the Japanese Empire and the Japanese Government-General of Korea, the “policy” they adopted within colonial Choson can be set as a theme. This will be reviewed by dividing the policy-making process and the implementation process for colonial Koreans. In the case of the economy, I would like to examine the subject of economic research in response to the policy of the Governor-General of Korea in the context of each era and how it has constructed its historical meaning. I would also like to cover articles related to the military and military facilities in the economic field. In the case of society, various research topics can be included. Basically, the subject classified herein deals with the contents of various networks that occur between Japanese and colonial Koreans. The subject becomes an area that deals with compromises, conflicts, and conflicts between empires people and colonies people. In the case of culture, it was divided into the areas of thought, religion, and history, focusing on the published thesis topics. In this paper, the papers containing Journal of Korean Modern and Contemporary History were first dealt with by subject and period of papers related to the four areas conducted in colonial Choson. In the context of the times when the study was conducted, we looked at the advantages and characteristics of each paper. In addition, tasks were presented in the awareness of the problem of research topics corresponding to each area.
