Research Trends and Directions of 6th industry: Analysis of Tourism-related Research Listed in Korea Citation Index(KCI)

The purpose of this study is to identify Domestic research trends in the 6th industry, especially dealing with tourism. A total 52 papers published in 38 Korea Citation Index(KCI) journals were selected for analysis. This study use the contents analysis method, qualitatively analyzed from three classification criteria: 1)research publication information 2)research topic, 3)research design. As a result, it was found that the number of studies began to increase in 2013, but in tourism research, 6th industry was still a field of low interest. Many research conducted from a supplier perspective, and the qualitative researches were large in the analysis method. In the conclusion, suggestions for future research were described.
