A Study on the Development Strategy of the Marina Complex

As the marine leisure tourism culture continued to spread and the marine leisure-related infrastructure began to be expanded centered on local governments, the revitalization of the expanded marina industry and the establishment of a support system began to take place. Although the government has made plans and promoted the development of the marina industry, the reality is that the results are insufficient. In the case of the base marina, except for the Uljin Hupo Marina, which has completed the first construction and the secondary construction is in progress, and the Changwon Myeongdong Marina, which has recently started construction, all of the marinas are in the planning stage or development has actually been stranded. Therefore, it is now at a point where marina development must be done through selection and concentration centered on marina users and markets. Marina development centered on the complex marina port should be promoted by establishing regional governance between actors with different interests because the approach in which various actors participate together is more efficient. Building a cooperative system for small marinas around the complex marina should also be carried out. The participation of local residents is essential for sustainable marina port development. In order to expand this to the regional area, it is necessary to maximize the reception posture and capacity of marina visitors through the complex marina port and the regional marina cooperation system.
