명 말 기녀 서화가 마수진의 난죽화에 관한 연구

A study on painting of Ma Shou Zhen, an artist of courtesan in late Ming China

명 말시기 남경의 진회하를 중심으로 활동했던 마수진은 난죽화에서 뛰어난 성취를 이루었다. 본 연구는 마수진과 그녀의 연인이자 오파 문단의 지지자 왕치등 사이의 예술적 상호작용에 대해 고찰하고, 오파 화단의 예술론 전파에 마수진이 했던 역할과 마수진 난죽화가 속 난죽이 가지는 상징적 의미에 대해 고찰해 보았다. 이를 통해 마수진은 비록 청루 출신의 기녀인 낮은 신분이었지만, 오파 문인뿐만 아니라 해외에서까지도 그 재능을 인정받은 서화가였으며 이러한 기녀 서화가가 아닌 한 사람의 독자적인 서화가로서 인정받은 성공한 예술가였음을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 이러한 성공의 배경에는 왕치등이라는 인물이 있었음을 알 수 있었다. 왕치등은 마수진과 교유하며 자신의 서화론을 알려주었으며 이에 영향을 받은 마수진은 난죽화에서 오파풍의 사의적인 난죽화를 창작했다. 왕치등은 마수진의 난죽화를 통해 오파 서화 이론을 후대에까지 널리 알릴 수 있었으며 마수진 역시 명 말 인기 있는 서화가로서 부와 명성을 쌓을 수 있었다. 따라서 마수진의 난죽화는 오파의 서화 이론 보급에 중요한 역할을 했으며 중국 회화사에서 기녀 출신 서화가 마수진의 난죽화 작품의 인기는 결과적으로 오파의 예술적 위상을 반영한 결과물임을 알 수 있었다.

Ma Shou-zhen, who was active mainly with Jin Hoe-ha of late ming China Nan-jing, achieved outstanding achievements in orchid painting. This study examines the artistic interaction between Ma Shou-zhen and her lover, Wang Zhi-deung, a supporter of the wu-school literary circle, the role of Ma Shou-zhen in disseminating the art theory of the wu-school flower bed, and the symbolic meaning of the orchid in the Ma Shou-zhen orchid bamboo painting. I looked into Through this, although Ma Shou-zhen had a low status as a prostitute from Cheong-ru, she was a calligrapher whose talent was recognized not only as an wu shool writer but also abroad. Wang Zhi-deung and others communicated with her Ma Shou-zhen and informed them of his calligraphy and painting theory, and Ma Shou-zhen , who was influenced by this, created a private orchid bamboo painting of wu-school style from her orchid bamboo paintings. Through Ma Shou-zhen s orchid bamboo paintings, Wang Zhi-deung was able to spread the theory of Opa calligraphy and painting to future generations, and Ma Shou-zhen was also able to build wealth and fame as a popular calligrapher at the end of the Ming Dynasty. Therefore, Ma Shou-zhen s orchid bamboo paintings played an important role in disseminating wu-schhol s calligraphy and painting theory, and it was found that the popularity of Ma Shou-zhen s orchid paintings, a calligrapher from a prostitute, in the history of Chinese painting, was a result of reflecting wu-school s artistic status.
