지금까지 고고학적 연구 성과가 거의 없었던 원삼국시대에서 삼국시대 백제 웅진기에 걸친 토기 완의 변화양상을 한강유역과 금강유역을 중심으로 살펴보았다. 그 결과 AㆍBㆍC 세 개의 형식으로 분류된 완 각각의 형식은 시간적ㆍ공간적 변화에 매우 민감한 반응을 보인다는 것을 밝혀냈다. 1단계인 원삼국시대에는 在地의 A형 완이 중심이면서 외래 문화인 낙랑토기의 영향을 받은 BㆍC형 완이 공존한다. 그런데 A형 완은 금강유역에서는 잘 보이지 않는 지역적 특징이 있다. 2단계에 해당하는 한성백제 1기가 되면 A형 완이 소멸함과 동시에 완 제작에도 환원소성이 중심을 이루게 되며 동체부에 타날문이 나타난다. 한편, B형 완이 주류를 이루었던 금강유역에 C형 완이 등장한다. 이어지는 한성백제 2기의 3단계에는 금강유역 완의 점유율이 B형에서 C형으로 바뀌는데, 그 배경은 백제의 영역확대와 관련될 가능성이 높다. 또한 전시기에 비해 전반적으로 기고가 낮아지는 경향이 나타나는데, 이는 중국 자기완의 영향이 작용했을 가능성도 있다. 4단계인 백제 웅진기의 양상은 자세하지 않으나, 6세기 전반에는 금속기인 중국제 동제 완의 영향을 받아 이를 모방한 대부완이 출현하는 점이 주목된다. 이 때 C형 완의 경우 3단계에 낮아졌던 기고가 다시 높아지는 현상이 나타나는데, 대부완의 출현과 무관하지는 않을 것이다.
Its about changing process of bowl from Proto Three Kingdoms Period to Woongjin phase of Baekje Period. I classified this bowl as three types, called A, B, and C type and it shows variation of spatiotemporal change. In the first phase, A type which was traditional local type was mainstream. B and C type which was influenced by Nakrang were also existent. Especially its difficult to find A type in middle-west region of Korea. In the second phase A type was disappear. Technically speaking, reduction became main firing technique and stamp paddling also appeared as method for making body. C type can be find in middle-west region of Korea where B type was mainstream. In the third phase, the proportion of investigated bowl in middle-west region was changed from B to C type. The main reason of this situation can be connected to the growth of Baekje. In the fourth phase, we can observe new type bowl that was influenced by bronze bowl produced by China.
